چند منبع اطلاعاتی عراقی مدعی شدند که سرکرده گروه تروریستی داعش در غرب این کشور حضور دارد و به دنبال احیای داعش در صحرای الأنبار است. این در حالی است که یک منبع دیگر اطلاعاتی عراق اخبار مبنی بر ورود سرکرده داعش به خاک عراق را رد کرد.

روزنامه البیان امارات به نقل از یک منبع نزدیک به نیروهای امریکایی مستقر در عراق نوشت که ابوبکر بغدادی، سرکرده داعش در پی از دست دادن آخرین پناهگاه خود در دیرالزور سوریه به دنبال احیای دوباره داعش در صحرای الأنبار عراق است.

این منبع افزود: بغدادی به همراه دو معاون خود چند روز پیش از طریق تونل‌هایی که مناطق حومه دیرالزور را به شهر القائم عراق متصل می‌کند به صحرای الانبار منتقل شده است و عناصر داعش به دور از چشم جنگنده‌های ائتلاف بین‌المللی با خودرو و موتور سیکلت از این تونل‌ها برای تردد در مرزهای مشترک سوریه و عراق استفاده می‌کنند.

وی تصریح کرد: اطلاعاتی که به دست ارتش امریکا رسیده است حکایت از آن دارد که ابوبکر بغدادی در منطقه “الحسینیات” شهرستان “هیت” واقع در غرب استان الانبار حضور دارد و توسط ۳۵۰ تا ۵۰۰ عنصر مسلح حفاظت می‌شود. بغدادی در یک مکان ثابت مستقر نبوده و دائما در حال تردد میان مناطق مختلف حسینیات و “وادی حوران” است

منبع مذکور در ادامه گفت که جنگنده‌های ائتلاف بین‌المللی و ارتش امریکا و همچنین نیروهای امنیتی عراق با دشواری‌هایی برای رسیدن به مناطق مذکور مواجه هستند.

در همین حال چندی پیش نیز رسانه های عراقی گزارش داده بودند که نیروهای خاص امریکایی از عراق برای دستگیری رهبر داعش وارد خاک سوریه شده اند.
